Standard Tipping Skip 500L

This Centurion tipping skip has a volume capacity of 500 litres and a load capacity of 1000kg. These Tipping skips are ideal for collection and safe handling of materials such as waste and scrap. Emptying the tipping skip is easy with a lever handle releasing the hook mechanism - see below for more information. 

The tipping skip sits on 125mm dia nylon wheels housed in 2 fixed and 2 swivel castors allowing for easy movement via a sturdy push handle. For  forklift use, there are channels incorporated in the skip subframe to securely locate the forks and prevent the tipping skip from sliding off the forks.

Hydraulic Damper Control

As standard, this tipping skip is fitted with a hydraulic damper to contol the speed of the bucket opening when the skip is being emptied - a bit like the gas strut that holds the tailgate of a car up.
The damper fits neatly under the skip bucket within the subframe so is not easily liable to damage.

Safety Forklift Chain

Your forklift forks locate into slots in the tipping skip subframe to pick the skip up. There is a safety Chain with snap hooks which can be wrapped around the forklift mast or fork carriage, this chain ensures the tipping skip cannot accidentally fall off the forklift when being driven around or emptied.
There is a neat tray provided to store the chain in when the tipping skip is on it's wheels.

Tip Skip Release Handle

To empty this Centurion tipping skip, it must be raised into the air by forklift. Then the side lever handle is pulled and the tip mechanism is released.
There is a safety chain fitted to the skip frame with a snap hook that fits in a hole in the handle and prevents accidental opening of the tipping skip.
Attached to the handle is a rope which allows the forklift driver to open the tipping skip whilst still sat in the forklift.

As a optional extra, this Centurion Tippig Skip can be fitted with a sump tap underneath and a drainage grid plate. This allows fluids to filter down through your skip contents and collect in the sump below. Typically, this would perhaps be rainwater and the water can be drained thorough the tap below.
As standard, the sump has bung fitted, with the tap as an optional extra.

Swarf Bin

A common alternative use is for machining swarf with cutting fluid. The swarf is dumped in the skip and the cutting fluid then drains down into the sump. The cutting fluid can then be drained off via the tap below and either re-used or disposed of correctly.
A key advantage to this is that scrap yards shouldn't accept swarf for recycling with fluid still in.

Skip Sidewalls

As an additional extra to our Centurion range these sidewalls can help extend the internal height of the skips, increasing it's volume to allow more efficent tips, these are steel side walls and seamlessly bolt into the unit.
