This tipping skip is for fork lift or telehandler use only. It is a heavy duty tip skip with an impressive load capacity of 1100kg. The tilting skip can be positioned by forklift in the warehouse, factory or building site etc and then picked up and moved by forklift to be emptied. A spring loaded pressure plate at the front enables automatic tipping - simply drive the tipping skip to a skip and push the base against the edge and the hopper will tilt forward and empty - simple, neat huh! The skip can also be emptied manually by pulling the locking lever at the back, a cord is supplied.
The tipping skip is securely locked in the vertical position when in use with a spring lever catch. Chains are fitted to the skip which can be secured to the carriage of the forklift to ensure the tipping skip cannot accidentally slide off.
This tipping skips are designed with reinforcements in the right places in order to cope with the demands of heavy loads and rough handling:
- Corner reinforcing substantially improves the rigidity of the containers.
- Reinforced fork channels.
- The End stop lug has been strengthed to cope with the high forces when tipped.
- The automatic tipping function not only makes emptying easier and quicker, it is also safer as well when emptying at height.
- Powder coated finish in blue RAL 5010, Linkage pieces are bright zinc plated.
- Tipping skip is CE certified.

Securing Chains
The skip has securing chains which ensure the base is temporarily fixed to the forks of the forklift, the tip mechanism can be quite violent and powerful especially when it's full, with this chain engaged this highly reduces the chance of the skip falling off of the forks during the tip mechanism, this makes the process much safer and reduces injury risk, we highly recommend using this feature.
Pull to Release Handle
The tipping skip has a release mechanism, to release the bucket there are 2 methods, the handle and auto release mechanism (see "Auto Release" tab for details).
The main tip mechanism locks the bucket into place, ready to be tipped, once the lever is pulled this causes the bucket to be released and leads to the skip tipping. This is the primary release method. (See above video)
As an added safety feature a securing ring has been added to the skip which can be slotted over the pull to release lever, this acts as a safety for the tipping mechanism and guarantees the skip doesn't tip unexpectedly which further helps keep personnel safe.
Releasing From the Forklift
The tip skip also comes with a long string attached to the handle, this is an added feature to be used by the user while safely sitting in the forklift, allowing them to activate the tip from inside the forklift cab.
