Our WP450 Folding Forklift Safety Access Cage is a very cost effective unit but yet a high quality is still maintained. The safety cage, also known as a forklift access platform, is safer than a ladder and less expensive and quicker than scaffolding and is manufactured in seperate pieces, which are then held together by various split pins, It has a load capacity of 450kg and is suitable for 2 persons.
The units ability to fold is the key feature, When not in use the unit can be compacted down for storage, it can also be compacted down for transportation to and from any sites where site work may be occuring.
The deck of the cage is formed from 3mm steel chequer plate to provide grip for the operators to stand on.
The back panel is covered with 50x50mm mesh to prevent any body parts from being caught in the forklift mast when being lifted. When not in use, the forklift cage folds down flat to save space. The door is centred and has a securing latch that will keep the cage closed during use, the door is also spring loaded so it won't allow itself to remain open.
The tool tray is not integrated into the stillage and is a seperate product, please choose it as an option above if it's required.

Fork Heel Safety Feature

This forklift cage has integrated heel hooks as a safety feature, to use them butt the forklift cage against the heel of the forklift forks, a safety pin can then be inserted to guarantee the man cage won't fall off of the forks during use, an essential feature that should used whenever the cage is in use (this is in place of our regular safety chains).

This forklift cage has a swing bar which acts as a locking mechanism,the swing bar is bolted onto the unit and can either be engaged or disengaged, when engaged it stops the door from opening and will keep the user safely enclosed inside.

This forklift safety cage has a spring loaded door, this prevents the door from staying open and keeps the user fully enclosed when working inside the unit (reducing the chance of anyone falling and injurying themselves). The door opens inwards.

Our forklift safety cage is suitable for most forklift trucks with adjustable forks. The fork pockets are 160mm wide x 60mm high with the distance between the centre to centre of the forks of 630mm
