If it's time to replace your tipping skips, or if you're a first-time buyer, there are a few things to take into account. Not all tipping skips are created equally, and some are better than others for specific purposes. Get the right equipment for more efficient, productive work.
1) Basic tipping skips
These standard tipping skips are suitable for use with a forklift or telehandler. With a load capacity of up to 2000kg and a spring plate for automatic tipping to unload, they are a heavy duty product built for maximum efficiency.
2) Roll forward tipping skips
These versatile tools are intended for the collection and disposal of waste and scrap.
The skip is mounted on a semi-circular carriage with pegs that locate in corresponding holes in the base.
Their two wheels have tiny teeth, letting them roll forward and back smoothly. A simple lever mechanism allows you to dump the contents.
3) Low height forklift tipping skips
With a lever mechanism for dumping, these tipping skips make collecting and disposing waste and scrap safe and easy. The reduced height makes loading easy and keeps a low centre of gravity for safety.
4) Compact roll forward tipping skips
This new model has been specifically designed for use in production areas tight for space. Its compact dimensions allow it to slide easily into slots that larger tipping skips won't manage. It has a roll forward mechanism, allowing it to be emptied directly from the forklift. A pull-cord controls its dumping in a safe, automatic process.
5) Jumbo tipping skips
These extra-large tipping skips are suited for bulky waste. They can be used to great effect with cardboard, plastic, wood, or polystyrene. They can also be operated with a lever for added safety. These larger models can be used with an optional hydraulic cylinder: this will allow you greater control over the tipping process, which is particularly useful when dealing with bigger skips.
6) Bottom opening skips
Bottom opening skips can be stacked for easy storage. A lever mechanism opens the entire base in a trap door-like motion, making the dumping process quick and simple.
7) Titan bottom opening skips
This range of bottom opening skips are particularly sturdy. More robust than other skips, they are ideal for factories or other environments where they are likely to take a few knocks. Made from reinforced sheet steel, they can take a bruising.
8) Polyethylene tipping skips
These are suitable for use in the food or pharmaceutical industries, where they are designed to meet hygiene and safety standards. The strong plastic body of the skip is mounted onto a steel frame. They are easier to clean than other tipping skips, making them ideal for settings where hygiene is paramount.
9) Rotating dumping containers
These are built for use with a forklift that has been fitted with a rotating fork clamp. Use them to collect and dispose of waste materials; the forklift will rotate them upside down for efficient dumping.
